East Bay Hi Tailers is an OFF-ROAD/OFF-HIGHWAY buggy club. As long as your vehicle meets the safety requirement of our "running rules", you can drive with us in your:

Dune Buggy
Sand Rail
Baja
Jeep or other off-road buggy or dual sport car, truck or ATV

Join us for a run:

We're family oriented and children/grandchildren are encouraged.

MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AFTER DINNER ON SATURDAY NIGHTS ON THE CLUB RUNS
UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE.

RUNNING RULES

Section 1 – Safety Items required for EACH buggy or other vehicle:

A. Seat belts for each driver and each passenger

B. Fire extinguisher

C. At least one operational taillight

D. Axe

E. Shovel

F. Bucket (regular or folding) or an ice chest

G. Tow rope

H. Quart of oil

I. First Aid kit

Section 2

We use one of two Buddy Systems

· Where each driver takes responsibility for each vehicle BEHIND him by waiting at ALL intersections or difficult spots until the next vehicle arrives and makes it through that intersection or spot; OR

· The driver of the second vehicle waives each vehicle on(now there’s a new 2^nd vehicle) waiting until the last vehicle arrives and makes it through that intersection or spot.

· The specific Buddy System is to be decided by the trail leader.

Section 3

It’s nice to have CB radios in the first and last cars, but they are never a substitute for the Buddy System
